    Play MidEvil →

    Play MidEvil →
  8. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.206: everyone faces eight ways now, the diagonals turned three-quarters: you, your gear, villagers, pets, the horse and the farm animals. Hit boxes match the pictures, and the info boxes are short and neat.

    Play MidEvil →
  9. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.205: snow drifts into the Highlands, paths bend smoothly, the Catacombs' rock and walls merge, and the Valley Planner blends what you paint.

    Play MidEvil →
  10. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.204: Frostpeak's snow now wanders out into the grass around it instead of ending in a straight line.

    Play MidEvil →
  11. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.203: the valley on the world map is drawn in the same style as the Wilds, so the whole map reads as one land.

    Play MidEvil →
  12. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.202: on the world map, the valley now fades into the Wilds instead of sitting in a box.

    Play MidEvil →
  13. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.201: the Wilds and the valley blend at the border, and Silas has a proper camp by the stream.

    Play MidEvil →
  14. MidEvil

    Play MidEvil →
  15. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.199: jump down off cliffs, mine the glowing cave crystals, smash barrels and crates for loot, and softer HD-2D lights.

    Play MidEvil →
  16. MidEvil

    Play MidEvil →
  17. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.197: HD bridges, softer joins where paths and cobbles meet the grass, calmer grass, shadows the right way round, and sticks you can wade through.

    Play MidEvil →
  18. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.196: the 3D art tidied up. A gentler angle (centred roofs, round barrels and bins, nothing stretched), a steady fireplace, and no more stacked-looking props.

    Play MidEvil →
  19. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.195: every building, prop, tree and rock redrawn in real 3D pixel art, and the valley comes alive with chimney smoke, birds, butterflies, falling leaves and glinting water.

    Play MidEvil →
  20. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.194: the Catacombs' wall tops are stone now (coping stones round the edges, mossy rubble inside) instead of plain black.

    Play MidEvil →
  21. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.193: every building and structure redrawn with real depth (side walls, roof ends, chimneys), and the screen is sharp edge to edge again.

    Play MidEvil →
  22. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.191: buildings and every structure now stand out in 3D, with side walls and roofs going back into the scene, and the sun rays are gentler.

    Play MidEvil →
  23. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.190 goes HD-2D: the pixel valley lit like a miniature, with sun shadows that turn through the day, glowing lamps, sun rays and soft focus.

    Play MidEvil →
  24. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.188: every shop trades the same way. Their wares in a grid like your pack, click to buy, drop yours on their side to sell, and buy back anything you sold by mistake.

    Play MidEvil →
  25. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.187: a bug check (21 fixes), villagers who stop and say hello when you walk up, one-slot gloves, Town Portals only in the Catacombs.

  26. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.185: unlearned crafting recipes stay a mystery (???) but now tell you how to learn them.

  27. MidEvil

MidEvil's menus got a tidy-up: one book with six tabs and sub-tabs, and the 212 crafting recipes sorted into lists with a Can make filter.

  28. MidEvil

  32. MidEvil

  34. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.174: spell-casting and summoning monsters and bosses in the Catacombs, no more swarms deep down, and beasts that each move at their own speed and only come for you once they spot you.

  35. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.173: the mine's crabs, slimes and wisps now turn up in the Catacombs too.

  36. MidEvil

MidEvil 1.172: deep armour and jewellery, every ring and necklace its own design, Fate-style gems, and jewellery for your pet.

  37. MidEvil

  38. MidEvil

MidEvil's Catacombs now go down to floor 452: a hundred more beasts out of Greek, Norse, Celtic, Slavic and Finnish tales, a new one every three floors, all the way down to Kronos and Ymir.

  39. MidEvil

MidEvil's quest board posts a hunt every day: a named beast in a red halo, and the fine weapon it carries is yours if you bring it back. The giants are giant now, too.

  40. MidEvil

MidEvil's Catacombs have fifty new beasts out of Greek myth and the northern tales, a new one every three floors, from nisser and satyrs down to Surtr and Typhon.

    Bestiary →

    Play MidEvil →
  42. MidEvil

MidEvil's map now marks where your quests send you with gold flags, and the Catacombs' quest board is an ancient cracked standing stone.

    Play MidEvil →
  43. MidEvil

MidEvil's weapons now scale like Fate's: damage ranges, four swing speeds and 125 unique weapons. Armour has its own colours and new robes, and chaos gear glows with pulsing veins instead of rainbows.

    MidEvil wiki: Armoury →
  44. MidEvil

    MidEvil wiki: Armoury →

  51. MidEvil

MidEvil's valley is one land now: the places fit together with no gaps, and where two meet, snow, marsh and sand drift over the border. Plus birches, scarlet maples (tap them for syrup), wild cherries in spring blossom, and fruit trees that each look like themselves.

    Play it →
  52. MidEvil

MidEvil's mine goes deeper: below floor 20 lies the Deep, 20 red-lit floors of skeletons, wisps and gold, with the Heart of the Mountain at the very bottom. Gold bars bring a new tier of tools, and 24 Honours reward milestones from your first harvest to your first million.

    Play it →
  53. MidEvil

MidEvil: build and decorate wherever you like. Put up walls that join as you place them, add doors and paved floors, write your own signs, and fill house and garden from 46 new pieces: a piano, a suit of armour, tapestries, garden gnomes, a rose arch, even a windmill.

    Play it →
  54. MidEvil

MidEvil's map is now a real picture of the valley, drawn from the world itself: your fields, the trees you left standing, snow in winter. Zoom in and drag it around. And late in the game, portal stones let you step between the places you visit most.

    Play it →
  55. MidEvil

MidEvil's seasons now show: the woods turn gold in autumn, snow settles over everything in winter, and the oaks blossom in spring. Also a furnace for metal bars, bigger chests, a manor to build, a farmhouse you can repaint, autosave, and a menu button in the corner.

    Play it →
  56. MidEvil

MidEvil: Tomas can now build a big coop (with an incubator) and a big barn (where happy animals have young), the winter Night Market fills the square for three nights, and secret notes turn up that lead to buried treasure.

    Play it →
  57. MidEvil

MidEvil's world is yours to shape: farm anywhere there's grass, lay bridges and cut steps into cliffs, and dig your own way through to the next place. The hills are rounder, cleared woods grow back, and there's a new place to explore, the ruined Old Keep east of Whisperwood.

    Play it →
  58. MidEvil

MidEvil gets thunderstorms: build lightning rods to catch the lightning as batteries (or it might hit your crops). Also warp totems, village bins to rummage through (don't get caught), and you can now zoom out to see more of the world.

    Play it →

    Play it →
  60. MidEvil

    Play it →
  61. MidEvil

MidEvil: build a slime hutch, hatch slime eggs and keep slimes that make goo, and turn the cave on your farm into a mushroom cave or a home for fruit bats. Starting a new farm now shows a map of each place, and your farmer turns round so you can see every side.

    Play it →
  62. MidEvil

    Play it →
  63. MidEvil

    Play it →

    Play it →
  65. MidEvil

    Play it →
  66. MidEvil
